No sound QB for Mac OS X Mojave

Hi,

 

I have recently purchased QB for Mac 2020 and installed it on a computer running OS X Mojave. Despite sounds being turned on, nothing is played when saving, deleting, memorizing or anything else.

Start by making sure that your QuickBooks is up-to-date. Download and install the latest update from this link: https://downloads.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/products.

 

Once done, please close the program and hold the option key down when you relaunch. That prevents the software from automatically opening the last used company file.

 

If you're still unable to make it work, I suggest getting in touch with our QuickBooks Technical Support to have this reported to our engineers. They have more tools to take a better look at this. 

 

Here's how you can reach out to them:

 

  1. Open this link: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Mac Desktop.
  3. On the Contact Us page, choose a topic.
  4. Click either Get Phone Number or Start a Message.

No sound QB for Mac OS X Mojave

Hello. I was able to speak with someone but while being on hold, I was playing around with the sound preferences and noticed that the Coins (Default) option under Enter a Transaction seems to be the only choice that does not play a sound. I changed it to another sound and all seems fine.
