NOne of my online accounts will link with quickbooks online. Is anyone else having this issue? After i authorize, i get an error. Something stopped us from connecting

Let's check to see why you can't connect your account, info1204.

 

If you haven't already, please log in to your bank's website as well to see if there's an announcement about maintenance. If none, you can do the browser troubleshooting steps. Then, try to connect your account afterward.

 

If you get the same error, you can consider uploading your transactions. Then, please contact our Support so they can start a screen-sharing session to gather more information on the issue.

  1. Click on Help and choose Contact Us.
  2. Paste your question in the text box and click Let's talk.
  3. Choose between Message an agent or Get a callback. These options are available during their office hours.

This is not a good answer. This happens with 3 different banks, so i doubt the issue is with all of them. I am not going to upload my transactions, that is a huge cop-out from you guys. It would be great if i could actually send a support email, but apparently your system doesn't let me do that outside of work hours. Pretty sh** support for a paid product.

Are you kidding? You are with the quickbooks team and you are telling me to import my transactions? How about trying to actually solve the problem? 

 

This is happening with multiple banks, so i'm sure its not me. I would love to email support, but your support options don't allow that unless i am within the window if your work hours.

I know that being able to connect your bank gives more convenience to automatically track your bank transaction, info1204.

 

Online Banking is one of the most helpful and time-saving features. QuickBooks automatically downloads and categorizes your bank and credit card transactions for you. If you still want to contact our support team, you can utilize our chat or request a callback option. This way, they'll be able to provide other options on how to do it. They also have the tools to pull up your account in a secure environment.

Here's how to reach them:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Go to Help (?).
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Enter your concern, then select Let's talk.
  5. Choose a way to connect with us:
    • Start a chat with a support expert.
    • Get a callback from the next available expert.

For now, we have reduced our support hours from Mondays - Fridays (6 AM to 6 PM Pacific time) due to COVID-19. Also, some products will only have chat support during this situation.

I was able to figure it out. 

I was using Quickbooks for Mac. 

 

Trying the connection from a windows machine/browser solved the problem for me. 

In case anyone has connection issues with a mac, try it in windows.
