Old phone number trying to verify new account

I have been trying to add a new account that I want deposits to go into. Somewhere in the system, there is an old phone number for our business and every time I try to save the settings for adding this account QB wants to call the old number (not anywhere in my account settings) to verify. I am at my wit's end! Even live chat could not help. Any help is MUCH appreciated!

Old phone number trying to verify new account

Hello, Gina.

I have one more solution to help you add the new deposit account.

The phone number in your Merchant Services account is likely using the old one. This is the reason why the system keeps calling it for verification. If you haven't done this during your chat, you'll want to edit it so you can add the new deposit account. Here's how:

  1. In your Merchant Services account, hover your mouse on the Account tab.
  2. Select Account Profile.
  3. Under Contact Information, click the Edit button.
  4. Edit and change the old phone number.
  5. Hit Submit

If you need more details about adding a new account for deposits, you can check this article: Change the account QuickBooks deposits payments into.

Ready to process payments with the new deposit account? Please check this article out for a guide how: Take and process payments in QuickBooks Online.

Should you have any other concerns with QuickBooks Online or your Merchant Services account, please let me know. Glad to offer assistance again.
