Older Version QB POS Errors

Thank you for providing me the error message when closing the software, @POS User. It helps me determine the possible cause of the issue. With this, I've got the steps to help fix this.

The zip file structure may be corrupted when the program is verifying and backing it up. Let's first delete the existing zip file to get rid of the error. Then, reopen it. I'll guide you how.

  1. Go to the Start menu.
  2. Select the affected file/folder from the list in the WinZip window.
  3. Press the Delete key. You can also right-click the item and click Delete in the resulting context menu.
  4. Go back to the Start menu.
  5. Click the WinZip icon to open a new zip file.

Second, let's recreate a backup to protect your company file from data loss. Here's how:

  1. Go to File from the top menu.
  2. Select Back Up Data.
  3. Specify the backup location.
  4. Click Backup.
  5. Choose Finish.

You can also restore your file to uncompress and copy the backup files into your working directory. For the detailed instructions, check out this article: Creating Or Restoring Backup Files

In case your company file is empty after restoring a backup, I'd first suggest displaying hidden files or folders. Then, perform the recommended solutions provided in this article: Resolving Company Data Issues When Restoring A Backup File

Once fixed, you can now perform the essential tasks when running your business, such as making a sale. Thus, I recommend visiting this website: POS Resource Center. It provides you articles about the benefits of using the software.

I'll lend a helping hand if you need further assistance. Take care always, @POS User.
