Our store opens at 10 m. Often the morning sales do not close out in the store closing - they end up on the prior day.

POS is supposed to get its date and time from Windows. The date and time is correct in windows with AM PM properly set yet POS seems to think that 12 PM is really 12 AM and sales that happen in the morning get recorded on the prior day. This messes up the draw count and store close out on the end of the day procedure. How can this be fixed?

Hi cwaligura,

You'll want to log in as admin and run a software update to fix this. I'll walk you through where.

  1. Click Help.
  2. Click Software Updates.
  3. Click Check for Updates.

Once done, check your POS date again.

If you get the same results, you can repair QuickBooks POS. Please refer to this article for detailed steps:

Repair QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale.
