Re: Personal Bank entries in business account

Hi there, @LorraineL.

I'd be glad to help share ways so you'll be able to transfer the entries from your personal bank account to your personal QuickBooks account.

If you referring to transferring the transactions from your Personal Bank Account to your Personal QuickBooks Account, then you may need to open each transaction under your Personal Bank Account and manually change the account associated with it to your Personal QuickBooks Account.

If you wish to remove the Personal Bank Account on your chart of accounts after transferring the entries, then, you can inactivate this account.

  1. Go to the Lists menu.
  2. Click on the Chart of Accounts.
  3. Select the bank.
  4. Click on the drop-down arrow beside Account.
  5. Click on Make Account Inactive.

On the other hand, if the personal bank account is newly created, then, you can just merge the two banks.

  1. Go to the Lists menu.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Right-click on your Personal Bank Account.
  4. Select EditAccount.h11 right click1.PNG
  5. Rename the account same as your Personal QuickBooks Account.
  6. Click on OK under Merge.h11 merge 2.PNG h11 3.PNG

In case you have any other QuicBooks concerns in the future, you may check/visit our help articles: Help articles in QBDT.
