Pick List / Pick List

Hi,

Using QB Desktop Enterprise 2019 Manufacturing & Wholesale:

I want to create a new Pick List from and existing Sales Order template I have and use it as the default pick list when chosen from the Sales Order Form > Print > Pick List. I notice that the default QB pick list when chosen from the drop-down menu in the SO excludes Non-Inventory Parts and Service or Other charges. This makes sense as these things really can't be "picked" and shipped.

I want to do this on my new Pick List, but can't see how. I don't see how the mechanism in the template to exclude item types from a pick list, or even that pick list is a special type of "template". It looks more like a modified SO template or packing list.

Thanks, any help appreciated!!

Re: Pick List / Pick List

Hi, @JoeE.

I'm here to help share some information about creating a Pick List in QuickBooks.

You can find the list of templates you've been using for your Pick List in the Template List. Just go to Lists menu and click Templates.

As for printing the Pick List, it'll always exclude items that cannot be picked such as non-inventory, service, and others regardless of the template you're using. You can only print the inventory items out of that Sales Order on the Pick List.

For more information about using, pick, pack and ship, you can refer to this article: Pick tab in Sales Order Fulfillment.

This should get you on the right track. Should you need other helpful references in the future, you can also visit our help site: Help articles for QuickBooks Enterprise.

Let me know if you have additional questions about the Pick List. I'm here to help.

Thanks and welcome aboard to the Community, HidowDoug.

Right now, the Pick List template is only available when you create sales orders in QuickBooks Desktop. Please also note that entering them through an invoice will affect specific income accounts in the program.

In case you need to customize the template further, I recommend visiting the article below:

Use and customize form templates.
