Join nowHello, I have been in business 20 years, and always have had an accountant prepare my small business taxes. I am a LLC Corp. I have inventory and no employees. I wanted to know what tax software you would suggest to use? I do not think my business is very complicated, and annual sales are down this past year. I would like to prepare them myself for 2019. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance for your time.

QuickBooks comes in an online and a desktop version, @annie12.
Choosing the right QuickBooks version depends on your business type and the tax forms you’re filling. Let’s start by identifying the features that are suitable for you and your business.
The QuickBooks Desktop for Mac is the desktop version specifically designed for business owners who are using Apple’s Mac operating system. It’s packed with features to help you organize your income and expenses. Also, it allows you to create invoices, pay bills, track inventory, and track and pay 1099 contractors. You can check our website for additional information: Comparing Quickbooks Online to the QuickBooks Desktop versions.
On the other hand, the QuickBooks Online (QBO) version is ideal for small service-based businesses. This is because of its flexibility and ability to simplify accounting features. It can be used on mobile devices and has no contract. You can refer to this article for more insights: Cool things you can do with QuickBooks Online.
Lastly, QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) is an online solution for the self-employed to manage and categorize their personal and business finances. Each QBSE account may only be used to support one self-employed individual and can generate one Schedule C. It helps freelancers keep track of income and expenses, calculate and pay estimated quarterly taxes. You can prepare your taxes and the other year end tasks using the QuickBooks Desktop for Mac. Though, TurboTax can also help you in filing it. If you don't want an additional subscription, you can continue in using QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

Hi there, and thank you so much for getting back to me, I appreciate it. I have the quick books Mac desktop version. Do you recommend getting TurboTax business to prepare my own business taxes? I do not have a service based business, but a smaller business that I mainly sell products wholesale to the ski resorts. No employee taxes. Thank you once again for your response.
