Join nowWe have price rules in place. When I do a credit for a particular customer with a price rule, it does not come out with the correct price. Am I missing something?
This does not solve my problem. I have the customer set up on the price rule but it only works for invoices not credits. The credit gives retail amount for any credits. Not sure how else to set it up so it would give the same price we charged when giving a credit (most customers have a price rule with override prices)
Hello there, @LauraM4.
You can create a price level for each customer so the prices are automatically adjusted when you create the invoice to a particular customer.
Here's how:
Once done, you'll have to set it up for your customers. Please follow the steps below.
You can also refer to the article about Advanced Pricing which is also previously shared above.
Feel free to let me know in the comment section below if you have any other questions. I'll be around to help. Have a great day ahead.
I setup price rules for the first time today. It is working in sales orders and invoices but not working in estimates. Is there a preference that must be changed to get estimates to start working?
Thank you
Chad
Price rules are automatically to all sales transactions including estimates, Chad.
Let's try a few steps that can resolve unexpected results when working in QuickBooks Desktop.
Start by making sure that your QuickBooks is on the latest maintenance release. Regularly updating the software installs and apply fixes to minor software issues. Use this article as a guide: Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release.
Once done, create another estimate to check if the price rule is already working. Just in case you can still see that the rule is not applying to the estimate, let's proceed to repairing the software. Here's an article to guide you through: Repair your QuickBooks Desktop for Windows.
