Printer setup won't display list of forms

When I navigate to  "File>Printer Setup" and click, I get no list of forms.

The system was restarted and quickbooks launched so everything is refreshed already, but the results are the same.

How do I get the list of forms to display?

Re: Printer setup won't display list of forms

Hello there, RRM.

I'll be sure to help you bring back the list of forms to display from your Printer Setup in QuickBooks Desktop.

We can either rename the QBprint.qbp file automatically or manually. This helps resolve unexpected results when printing transactions or reports in QuickBooks.

If you choose to automatically rename it, you can download and run the QuickBooks Print and PDF Repair Tool.

To manually rename it, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Locate the QBPrint.qbp.
  2. Add the word old to the file name (i.e. QBPrint.qbp.old)
  3. Open QuickBooks Desktop.
  4. From File menu, select Printer Setup.
  5. Select any transaction in the Form Name list and select OK. This will create a newQBprint.qbp file.

Once done, try to open and print any transaction. You can have this article handy for your reference on how to rename the Qbprint.qbp file.

Fill me in if you have additional questions or other concerns side from printing forms in QuickBooks. I'd be happy to help.

Re: Printer setup won't display list of forms

Renaming the file manually made the most sense to me, and it worked perfectly.  Thank you for the good information!
