Printing envelopes

We appreciate you taking the time to share this with us. I'll do everything I can to help you make sure you can print envelopes in QuickBooks Desktop.

The error you got can occur if the Omit Address option is selected in Microsoft Word. It could also be that the Normal. dot template may be damaged.

For now, I recommend updating your QuickBooks Desktop to get this fix.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Help menu and select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
2. Choose Update Now tab. Tip: You can select the Reset Update checkbox to clear all previous update downloads.
3. Select Get Updates to start the download.
4. Once done, Restart QuickBooks.
5. When prompted, accept the option to install the new release.

If the error still exists, I recommend following the steps to repair Microsoft office.

Here's how:
 

1. Right-click the Start button  (lower-left corner), and select Apps and Features on the pop-up menu.

   

2. Select the Microsoft Office product you want to repair, and select Modify.

    

3. Follow the steps for your installation type.

   Click-to-run

   In the window How would you like to repair your Office Programs, select Online Repair > Repair to make sure everything gets fixed. (The faster Quick Repair option is also available, but it only detects and then replaces corrupted files.)

   MSI-based

   In Change your installation, select Repair and then click Continue.

4. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the repair.

I don't see Microsoft Visual Basic in my installed apps, but I do see several dated versions of Microsoft Visual C++, is this different from Visual Basic and if so does this meal I need to install Visual Basic? I get the very same error message as the original poster.
