printing when log in remotely

Good Afternoon, @scott abraham

It's great to see a new face here in the Community. I hope your week is going well so far.

When logging in remotely, you'll only be able to print to printers near you. If you're trying to send the information to a printer in another location, then it will not work. If you're referring to something other than the insight I gave you, please give me some more details on this matter. This will allow me to determine the best solution for your business.

In the meantime, you can check out this link about how to fix printing problems: Troubleshoot PDF and Print problems with QuickBooks Desktop

It's my priority that all of your concerns are addressed as soon as possible. If you have any other questions or concerns, just let me know. I'm always here to lend a helping hand. Have a fantastic week!

Hi there! Is this information still accurate?

I work remotely and was wondering if I could print on a printer that's in the office. Only asking because I see this reply is from 2020, maybe something changed by now.

I'd appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks in advance!

Hi there, Lucy. I'm here to share some details about printing remotely in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Currently, the option to print on a printer in your office while working remotely is unavailable in QBDT. It only allows you to print to printers near you.

I know this functionality would be beneficial to your business. I'd recommend sending feedback directly to our Product Development team. Doing so helps us improve your experience and the features of the program.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu and then select Send Feedback Online.
  2. Choose Product Suggestion.
  3. Add the type of feedback.
  4. Type in your feature suggestion.
  5. Once done, click Send Feedback.
