QB 2019 for MAC

Anyone else lose connection to the QB server for multiuser mode when the root CA certificate expired on Oct 1, 2021? Customer service has been no help. I subscribed to the updates, but nothing is happening. I need help!

Let's get your multi-user mode working, @Parsley.

You'll want to run the QuickBooks Database Server Manager on your server. Your server computer is the one that stores your QuickBooks company file(s). Your other computers connected to your network are your workstations. Thus, let's start our troubleshooting steps from there.

Let me guide you how:

  1. Close QuickBooks for Mac.
  2. Download QuickBooks Tool Hub and save the file on your Desktop.
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe). Then, follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  4. When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.
  5. From the launchpad, select Network Issues.
  6. Choose QuickBooks Database Server Manager. If QuickBooks isn’t on your server, it'll prompt you to install it.
  7. Then, pick Start Scan if you see your company file folder(s). If you don't, Browse to the location of your company file and then tap Start Scan.
  8. The QuickBooks Database Server Manager will repair your firewall permissions automatically.
  9. When the scan finishes, click Close.

After that, open QuickBooks on each workstation. Go to File and Switch to Multi-user Mode. Once your workstations can go into multi-user mode without any issues, everything is fixed.
