QB Crash right after opening

Ever since I installed QB Pro Contractors Edition 2018, (several months ago),  Quickbooks will crash and close when I try and print labels.  I go to File, print forms, Labels, and I choose customers that start with a particular zip code.  It gets about 1/2 way through the search, and Quickbooks simply closes.

Any help would be appreciated.

QB Crash right after opening

Good day, computerdiva,

Thanks for getting this to our attention. I'm here to help you get this crashing issue sorted out.

May I know if you're getting a specific error code or message after your company file crashes? Any details you can provide will help us narrow things down.

There are a few possible reasons for the unexpected behavior or performance issues with QuickBooks Desktop. Here are some:

  • QuickBooks is not updated.
  • Program does not meet the minimum system requirements.
  • Damaged or missing QBWUSER.INI file.
  • Corruption on your hard drive.
  • Damaged program files or QuickBooks Desktop installation.
  • Damaged Windows operating system

To get past this, let's use the QuickBooks Diagnostic Tool to automatically identify and fix .NET Framework, MSXML and C++

issues. Here's how:

  1. Download the QuickBooks Install DiagnosticTool.
  2. Save the file to your local Desktop.
  3. Close any open programs and run the QBInstall Tool.
  4. Reboot the computer after running the tool to ensure the components are properly updated.

Once done, try printing your labels again and see if it works this time. However, if your getting the same issue, I'd recommend following the remaining solution in this article: QuickBooks Desktop won't open, has stopped working, or not responding

Please let me know how this goes, computerdiva. I'm here to help you whenever you needed me. Have a good day!
