Hi there, our small company is planning to convert from desktop to online QB. I am interested in the stories of other customers who converted to online then converted back to desktop (or some other version, ie, enterprise). Why did Online not work for you? How many hours did it take you to convert to online? What features did you miss the most? What features did you like the most? If you didn't go back to desktop, which version did you choose and why? All help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks for posting the Community space, @JulieatMuk.
I'm happy to know that your planning to convert from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online. Let me share some information about the conversion.
QuickBooks Online is a cloud-based software that lets you connect wherever you are as long as you have an internet-connected device. To learn more about the differences and features of QBDT and QBO, click these articles below:
Thanks Joesem. I've read all of these and am compiling a list of things we cannot live with. I don't think this is a good fit for us after all. Our main reason for converting was to be able to work remotely. I see from some comments we can make that work other ways, so that will be my next avenue of pursuit. Thanks for responding so quickly.
Hello Fiat Lux. Yes, our main reason for converting is to be able to work remotely. Can you point me in the direction of those solutions? I think we would be losing too much to convert to Online at this time.
