QB Enterprise 19 lockup

My QB Enterprise 19 will lockup when I am in the employee section. If I click on any employee it locks up and it then becomes necessary to ctrl/alt/del to get out of QB no matter how long I wait for it to finish. Originally I thought that it was the multiuser mode but today that didn't seem to make a difference. The company file is located on another computer in our office.

To narrow down this unexpected product behavior, we can try using the Refresher Tool. This helps end QuickBooks processes running in the background and can do a mini repair on your QuickBooks Desktop.

 

Here's how:

  1. Close all QuickBooks Desktop versions.
  2. Download the QuickBooks Refresher Tool.
  3. Save the file on your desktop and run the QBRefresher Tool.
  4. Re-open QuickBooks Desktop.

Once done, re-open QuickBooks Desktop and see how it works.

 

If it does the same issue, try running the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool (QBInstall Tool) to identify and fix file and network issues.

 

First, download the QuickBooks Install DiagnosticTool and save the file to the local Desktop.

 

Once done, you can close any open programs and run the QBInstall Tool. Restart your computer after running the tool to ensure the components are properly updated.
