Join nowI sent a backup of my QB 2017 database to my CPA, who then used and manipulated in Enterprise. My hard drive (with all my backups) then crashed. CPA is able to send me a portable backup from Enterprise, but I cannot open back in QB 2017, states can only be opened in Enterprise. Is there a way to migrate the data back to 2017, so I don't have to recreate?
It's actually QuickBooks 2019!
Ask your CPA to check his/her backup folder. When we are converting our data file, QuickBooks will keep a backup file of the original version (*.QBB) by default.
Let me help you restore the company file, @Jstevens01887.
If you’re using either QuickBooks Pro or Premier 2019 and your Accountant is using QuickBooks Enterprise (QBES), then you can’t open QBES company files in Pro or Premier.
Also, once you restore and convert the backup copy into a later version of QuickBooks, you can no longer open it in any earlier versions.
