I have tried to download Internet Explorer version 9 unsuccessfully. Right now I have Intern Expl version 8.
Is there a way to turn off the requirement to connect to the internet?
For Windows 7, what is the most recent version of Intern Expl I can get?
Is there a way to stop QB from looking for an internet connection all the time?

All our program has a specific system requirements to ensure it functions properly. For QB 2016, Internet Explorer 11, 10, and 9 is required since it is the default browser for QuickBooks. This is the reason why it is required for every installation.
Once you have the requirements met, you can install your 2016 file in the Downloads & Updates website. See this:
If you get any null or other installation errors, you may reach out to our Technical Team for additional help. They have the tools to help download old software versions successfully so you can retrieve your files.

Thanks, it took several tries, but I was able to download the correct Internet browser. But QB sure is quirky now!
