QB online new tab sign out

The last couple of weeks my QB online desktop app signs me out completely when I open a new tab.  I will be working in a tab, go to open a new tab and it signs me out and I lose all information (unless I saved it before).  Problem is that it has been fine for the last few months and now this...I have a business to run, not spend hours recreating all my stuff I just lost.

Please read what the problem is and not give me some generic answers.  Can you help me with this issue?

Hi lmwolfwalker,

I'll make sure that you can stay signed in while opening another tab.

There are times that the accumulated cache causes unusual behaviors in the app. To isolate this issue, you can clear the app data to get rid of the junk files. I'll show you how:

  1. Select Help from the top menu bar.
  2. Choose Reset App Data.
  3. Close and re-open your QuickBook App for Windows/Mac.
  4. Mark the Stay Signed In checkbox upon signing in to keep your credentials.

Once done, head to the File menu at the top and then select New Window to check if everything is working fine.

However, if the same thing happens, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the app to fix any damaged components and start over fresh.

Alternatively, you can sign in to your QuickBooks Online account using our supported browsers.

I'm also adding these articles to learn the different tips and tricks in using the app:

Thank you!  I did download to reinstall, but will hold off as the deleting of the cache seemed to do the trick!
