You'll want to check these articles for a detailed guide in setting up a multi-user network for QBDT Windows or Mac:
Then, to further guide you in hosting company files in a multi-user setup, visit this page: Hosting your company data in multi-user mode in QuickBooks Desktop. This also includes illustrations for the different hosting modes.
You can also visit our QuickBooks Help page to look for articles and links that you can save or bookmark for future use as a reference when doing your QBDT tasks.
I'm just here in the Community if you have any other questions about setting up a connection for hosting company files. It's my pleasure to assist you further. Have a good one.
You may have 2 options for Mac users to open the file(s) at the host computer in multiuser mode with other PC users
1. Install Parallels and Windows OS to install QB Desktop
2. Setup a simple private cloud solution and Mac users will access the host computer over the internet.
