QBM file in use error message when transferring portable company file using gotomypc file transfer
Copying the portable company file and then pasting it into another folder seemed to work. I was able to transfer the file to my clients pc. I've installed the DT 2019 patch which fixed this issue that made it impossible to close a company file without using cntl alt del. This is happening post patch as of 1/10/2019.
Click the Windows Start tab in the lower left-hand corner, and then select Control Panel. For Windows 8/8.1, click Start, type Control Panel on the search box, and then select Control Panel on the results.
Click Programs and Features. If you don't see this, select Uninstall a program or Programs and then Program Features.
Click QuickBooks on the list of programs, and then select Uninstall/Change.
Click Continue, and then Next.
Select Repair, and then Next. Wait until the Repair process is complete.
