Quickbooks 2014 error -6208,0

I'd be glad to get you pointed in the right direction in fixing error -6208,0 when opening a company file in QuickBooks.

This error is most common in QuickBooks and usually appears when you're trying to open your company file. It occurs for one of the following reasons:

• Data is converted over a network.
• There is damage in your file.
• QuickBooks can’t communicate with the server.
• There is more than one computer acting as the host for the data file.

This error code can be fixed by running the QuickBooks Company File Diagnostic Tool or by copying the backup file (.qbb extension) or company file (.qbw extension) to a local hard drive. You can then restore the backup or update the file before moving it back to its original location.
