Quickbooks continuously asks to REBOOT after update

I am running QB Pro 2017 on a Windows 10 computer. After a QB update today, I am getting a continuous message "Quickboos requires that you REBOOT you computer to complete the installation" I tried running the installation diagnostics tool, didn't help. so I uninstalled quickbooks, cleared out all my TEMP folders and rebooted and then re-installed. I still get the same message. My Windows 10 computer also updated to the newest enhancements on Friday. I don't know if the issue is related.

It looks like you have already tried all the basic steps, including uninstalling and reinstalling QuickBooks. In this case, I would recommend contacting our Technical Support Team so they can double-check what's causing the issue. Here's how:


  1. Go to:
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop, then click Pro or Premier.
  3. Click Solving Issues and Error Messages, and then select Upgrade and Update Issues.
  4. Click Get Phone Number.
