quickbooks desktop for Mac 2020

this AM , when i opened quickbooks for Mac 2020, the home screen looked very different and I want to change it back to how it was yeasterday.  Please help ... ALSO I am trying to speak with a live person by phone about this matter and connot find a way to do this.  the chat doesnt work

I'm here to guide you in performing some troubleshooting steps to isolate this concern 

 

Let's stat by updating your QuickBooks software is updated to the latest version. This makes sure that the program displays the latest  foreign exchange rate and downloads needed patches to resolve unexpected behavior.

  1. From the QuickBooks▼ drop-down, select Check for QuickBooks Updates.
    • If a newer version is available, select Install Update.
  2. When prompted, select Install and Relaunch.
  3. When the update is complete, QuickBooks for Mac automatically opens.

Once completed, make sure to restart QuickBooks to ensure that all components are updated. Then, you can try reviewing your Desktop View Preferences to ensure that it is set to save the configuration you set as its background. You can refer to this article to learn more about customizing your workspace, toolbar, tabs, and color display in QuickBooks for Mac: Customize your QuickBooks display.

 

If the issue persists, you'd want to run the built-in Verify and Rebuild tool. This is a built-in tool that auto-detects and auto-fix data damage issues within QuickBooks. Here's how:

  1. Open your QuickBooks company file.
  2. Choose the File menu.
  3. Select Utilities.
  4. Click Verify Data.
  5. Pick OK when you see the message QuickBooks detected no problem with your data. You may continue using your company file.
  6.  

Once the Verify finds an issue with your QuickBooks data, you will be prompted to Rebuild Now or View Errors.  You can refer to this article for more detailed steps: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop.

Since you're still unable to change the display preferences of your homepage even after following the steps above, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Support.

 

With their tools, one of our specialists can pull up the account on file and investigate further what is the reason behind the changing display of your homepage. To do so:

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click Contact Us.
