@Spiderterp are you on Tahoe 26.2 yet? Just wondering if all is working well on that version for desktop for mac 2021?
Let me know,
Mike
Is 2019 working on 26.2? I'm still on 15 and want to upgrade.
I haven't seen any reports from QBD 2019 users that it doesn't work on Tahoe 26.2. You can use the trial version of QBD 2019 to check.
Hi there. Alan.
Allow me to provide some clarity on whether your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Mac 2019 will work after upgrading to macOS 26.2 (Tahoe).
QuickBooks 2019 is an older version that Intuit stopped updating in 2022. Because macOS 26.2 (Tahoe) is much newer, the two may not work well together. Using them together is risky and can cause the program to have unexpected issues.
Regarding a trial version, Intuit no longer offers trials for the 2019 software. Also, if you use a newer trial to open your file, it will update your data permanently. Once updated, you cannot go back to using the 2019 version.
To keep your information safe, it is a good idea to save a backup of your file to a USB drive before you update your Mac. Once you update, you can open a "Sample Company" file first to see if the program runs smoothly before using your actual business data.

If I'm just writing checks, making deposits, and running the P&L & Balance Sheet reports in QBDT 2020. Nothing connected to the web. Should that still work under Mac Tahoe? It's been working fine in Mac Sequoia. I haven't used any of the other stuff in QB for years.
Hi there, BoulderGreg.
Allow me to provide some clarity on whether your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Mac 2020 will work after upgrading to macOS 26.2 (Tahoe).
QuickBooks 2020 is not officially supported on macOS 26.2 (Tahoe), and newer macOS versions can introduce compatibility issues with older software. While you noted that your current version is working fine with macOS Sequoia, compatibility on Tahoe could still present unexpected challenges even for basic functions like writing checks, making deposits, or generating Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports.
If your system only handles offline tasks without any web-connected features, it may continue to function. However, this is not guaranteed, and you may experience issues related to the program's stability, data access, or performance. Using it on an unsupported macOS version inherently carries risks.
To keep your information safe, it is highly recommended to save a backup of your file to an external storage device, such as a USB drive, before upgrading to Tahoe. Once the upgrade is complete, test the program with a "Sample Company" file first to ensure its functionality.
To ensure stability and protect your financial data, I recommend upgrading to a supported version of QuickBooks for Mac that is compatible with macOS Tahoe or switching to the cloud-based QuickBooks Online .
