First, let's update QuickBooks to the latest release.
- Go to Help, then Update QuickBooks Desktop.
- Select the Options tab, and then Mark All. Then, Save.
- Click the Update Now tab, and tick the box next to Reset Update.
- Hit Get Updates.
Next, let's check your app preferences to see if there's something that blocks the connection to your Google account. Here's how:
- Sign in to your Gmail account.
- Go to the Less secure app access section.
- Turn Allow less secure apps on.
Lastly, check your anti-virus settings. You can search your anti-virus provider's website for steps on how to allow port exceptions. Make Port 587 open for Gmail and all other email services.
