I just recently made the switch from QB desktop to QB online. I have old registers and bank accounts from  the past that didn't migrate. My QB 2024 desktop expires at the end of this month. Will I still have access to all of my QB desktop data after it expires?

Hi there, @coachdennis.

I know you're wondering if you can still access your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) company data after you switch to the online version and after your subscription expires. I'm here to provide you with the details and how it works in QuickBooks.

You can still access and keep your QBDT data with an active subscription. However, once your subscription ends, you will only have View-only Mode to view these data. It means you can only review your company information but won't be able to create new transactions or any task-related concerns moving forward.

That said, I recommend exporting your data before it expires to secure a copy of this for future use. Alternatively, you may renew your subscription to continue utilizing the program.

I'll also attach another way to back up your company data that will come in handy.

Furthermore, you may visit this reference to guide you on how to link your bank accounts in the new accounting tool: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

That should answer your query about your company data. If there's anything else that I can help you with, don't hesitate to reach us. We'll make sure to get back to you to provide some help. Have a great day!

@coachdennis

You can use the trial version to access your historical data for good if required.
