Join nowso we run quickbooks 2017 but recently paid to have the new 2021 version. it hasn't been installed yet and we're wondering, is there a way to revert back to the 2017 version if we don't like the new 2021 upgrade?
this is all run on windows desktop.
Thank you!
Make sure to secure one or two backup files (i.e QBB) prior to upgrading to QBD 2021. Otherwise, you may need to purchase a 3rd party downgrade service.
oh perfect! I remembered reading something saying that we wouldn't be able to open our account in a previous QuickBooks date but I wasn't sure if that also went for our backups.
thanks so much!
Understand that if you go back, the backup file you go back to will be to the date prior to upgrading, so all transactions after upgrading will be lost. I've been using desktop for years, and currently use 21, and haven't had any trouble, so you might be fine.
