Join nowQuickbooks Enterprise 20 crashes when trying to print checks or when going to File > Printer Setup and clicking on any printer or clicking print options button. User can print other items from QB to the same printers. User can print to the printer in Windows otherwise with no issue.
Ran QB Tools - Print and PDF repair tool, Repaired program with the detailed run option
Repaired program via Control panel
Ran any available Windows updates (only one - 20H2 cumulative update for April 2021 was available)
Most recent update was from 4/3 and the user had printed checks after this
No new QB updates available
Uninstalled via control panel and reinstalling now - will report back on stats after this
Multiple machines with this issue
When checking the Application event log - the following errors are present:
The system cannot open the file. Event ID 4
"Delete invalid printer"
Searched the web and this community for the same error messages, but have not found any references. Any one else experiencing this?
A full uninstall and reinstall did not solve the issue.

Support's answer was to install Quickbooks 2021....which is a silly answer and I told the support rep as much.
We created a sample QB file to verify that the issue was not with the main company file we use and put it on the workstation we are using. The same issue occurs. Try to go to printer options under File > Printer Setup
OR
just changing the printer under File > Printer Setup for Check / Paycheck - Quickbooks crashes.

Thanks Ryan, That appears to have solved the issue.
My client is still having this problem - even after doing all of those solutions mentioned in the article. Support's answer was "upgrade to Quickbooks 2021" - which is not an answer. They just did not want to deal with me any longer.
