Join nowHello, I am having an issue in using quickbooks enterprise solutions 2012 in multi user mode. I have done all the necessary steps. even windows firewall has been amended but other users cannot see entries which I post in quickbooks. I would like to ask what could be the reason of that and where I am making the mistake.
Did you just installed QB Desktop 2012 and set the multiuser feature for first time?
Thanks for reaching out to the Community about your issue, Ahqar.
I know how important for the other users to see all entries posted in QuickBooks. This will keep them up to date with the data file.
In addition to @Fiat Lux - ASIA response, make sure the employees are opening the same company file when in multi-user mode. Doing so ensures they can see all transactions added or modified in QuickBooks.
We recommend keeping your company files on your server computer's local hard drive. This makes it easier to share them over your network.
Check out this article for more details about setting up a multi-user network. From there, you'll see how to set up the folder permissions, steps to configure the admin rights, and turn on hosting: Set up and install a multi-user network for QuickBooks Desktop.
