Join nowWe have a client whose export to Microsoft Word is not working for their letter templates on one of their workstations. We have repaired both Microsoft Office and Quickbooks, both of which did not resolve the issue.
The error message in the computer's event logs: An unexpected error has occured in "Intuit QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions: Contractor 19.0":
QBWordCreateLetters failed with in Step (4). Word version = 15.
Has anyone encountered this before, and if so, how did you resolve?
Hi there, @p3c-ro. Thanks for joining the Community.
I'm here to provide some insight on the error you found in your event logs. The error indicates that there's either a problem with your QuickBooks Desktop Installation or your Microsoft Word installation. I recommend running a repair on your QuickBooks installation. It's super easy and takes a few moments. Take a look:
Note: If you're using Windows 8 or 8.1, search "Control Panel" in the Windows Start menu.
Note: If you don't see Programs and Features, use Programs instead. Then select Program and Features.
Note: The repair should start right away, but it may take a while to finish. You can leave it running, and come back once it's done.
Note: You may have to restart your computer to complete the repair.
Keep me updated here by using the reply option. I'm determined to be your number one resource for QuickBooks Desktop. Have a good one!

Along with the details you've shared, the screenshot is a good reference. We can perform troubleshooting to fix the error you're getting.
First, let's download the QuickBooks Tool Hub file. Once downloaded, save the file where you can easily find it. Now, let's open the file and follow the instructions on the screen. After you finish installing, click the icon twice on your Windows desktop.
Then, follow these steps to run the QuickBooks PDF & Print Repair Tool.
Also, you'll want to check these articles to get more information, like fixing the error in Microsoft.
Just let me know if you need further assistance. I'll be around to help. Take care!
