QuickBooks not saving estimates

I’m working on an estimate finish it and hit the save buttons exits me out instead and my waist hole work is deleted!

Hello @OCR2017,

Maybe you clicked "Save and new" button. In this case it seems like the created estimate is empty. 
Check your recent estimates by clicking on history button in the left corner at the top of the page and maybe the estimate was created

Welcome to the Community. I'd be glad to assist you with estimates not saving. 

 

@Olga_Sokolovskaya has a good suggestion with the possibility of having clicked Save and new, which would open up a new estimate and could seem like all of the work was deleted. If you're ever unsure about what information has been entered, one option that you have is to check the Audit Log, which keeps a record of actions within QuickBooks Online. You can locate additional information about this feature, including how to access it, at the following article: The Audit Log: What It is, How to Use It.

Hey mate, did you ever find an answer to this?

 

Same thing happened to me and NO, I didn't hit save and new.

 

Quick books obviously have a bunch of INEPT ppl working for them. And I'm speaking out of two times of gaddam frustration, I admit. Why can't all these bunch of jackasses fix this error? We pay for a working system and if you're going to include a section well, don't let it be lame... If we business owners were as lame as this flawed part of quickbooks nobody would use our services, therefore all these Quickbook jerks wouln't have anybody to sell their stupid product.

I have checked on my end for any outstanding investigation about creating an estimate. That said, let's run some troubleshooting steps to identify this issue.

 

Let's start with an incognito window. This is the best place to identify any browser-related issues. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to open one:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Shift N

 

If it works, you can go back to a regular browser and clear its cache. Once a cache is piled up, it can cause any unexpected page behavior.

 

You can also switch to a different browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari.
