Quickbooks Online Estimate Style - Product/Service Column is missing

I am a Quickbooks Desktop user and am trying to assist a friend with Quickbooks Online.  He has an estimate style that is not working.  I have verified that under Gearbox > Style > Edit > Content > the "Produce/Service" checkbox "IS selected.  The "Date" column, however, IS NOT selected.  Yet, the Date column appears on the data entry form and not the Product/Service.  And, to add to the confusion, old estimates using the same style are rendered properly.  Any New Transaction > Estimate these two data entry columns are not displayed correctly as specified by the content check boxes.

Any suggestions?   (With QBD, under Template Editing there are different sets of check boxes for what should be on the data entry form and what should be on the printed form.)

I'll help you fix your estimate style, @TBO.

The error may appear when there's an issue with the browser. Sometimes too much cache files stored in the browser can cause unexpected behavior with the product. We can fix this by performing some basic troubleshooting steps in QuickBooks.

First, let's access your account using a private window. This a special mode where the browser doesn't record the browsing activity on the local device. You can press this following keys to access this mode:

  • Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox).
  • Control + Option + P (Safari).

If you're able to alter your preferences, then we can go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. If the same problem occurs, try using another supported browser. This might be a temporary issue with QuickBooks and the current browser that you use.

In addition, you can delete the estimate style and recreate it. Just click the Gear icon and select Custom form styles. Then, click the estimate's drop-down arrow under the ACTION column and select Delete. Once done, follow these steps to recreate it.

Also, you can import and design custom form styles for your invoices or estimates in Quickbooks Online. This feature helps reflect your brand identity into your sales forms with less effort and time.

I'm always here to help if you have any other concerns or questions. Just tag my name in the comment section and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
