Quickbooks Point of Sale

We are using Quickbooks POS. We are trying to make use of the Credit Card Sale button which was never set up. When I click on the button, it asks me to Log In. The individual who originally set  this up is no longer available and we do not have the Username and Password available. Is there a workaround so we can set up the system to record Credit Card Sales?

Quickbooks Point of Sale

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, John 11. I will be more than happy to help. Since the primary user for QuickBooks Point of Sale is not available, you must reset the admin password using the Automated Password Reset tool. Please be aware that the Point of Sale desktop versions were discontinued as of October 2023, so you cannot register new software or accept new users. 

 

 

  1. Go to the Automated Password Reset tool for QuickBooks Desktop: https://passwordreset.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/passwordreset.
  2. Choose your version of QuickBooks Point of Sale and location.
  3. Fill in your QuickBooks license number and the business information used during registration.
  4. Download and run the Automated Password Reset tool. If it doesn't automatically start, click Download now.
  5. Enter the token number sent to your email address.
  6. Click Browse to select your company file.
  7. Enter and confirm a new password.
  8. Select Reset Password to complete the process.

 

Please let me know if you were able to get that information and successfully add the Credit Card Sale button. I am looking forward to your response.
