QuickBooks POS Sales order and Work Orders "non posting"?

I have been getting more involved with a setup of QuickBooks POS and QuickBooks Desktop that has been setup since 2006.  We write up all customer jobs in Point of Sale as Work Orders, so we can type up a lengthy description of services and take deposits.  The job is then paid in full after completed.

What I have noticed is that QuickBooks POS is not sending over customer balances on Work Orders to QuickBooks Desktop so our Accounts Receivable in QB Desktop is not accurate.  When I contacted QB POS Support Chat, they informed me that Sales Orders and Work Orders in POS are "non posting" items and don't transfer over to QuickBooks Desktop.  Isn't that the whole point of POS and Desktop integration?  We weren't able to come up with a good solution and I'm hoping someone here has some suggestions.  Thanks!

Thanks for posting in the Community, @dguest.

In QuickBooks Point of Sales (POS), only the posting transactions can be transferred or sent over to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). For now, you need to manually enter the Sales Order and Work Orders in QBDT as a workaround.
