We recently installed QB POS on our desktop stationary terminal at our business. However, we use QB desktop premier on a seperate laptop for accounting, writing checks, reports etc. How do we make the two systems talk to each other? i.e. Making a copy of a sale transaction/invoice that was processed on the POS system copying it over to the desktop premier or inventory updates from one system to another.

Thanks for the question! There is a financial exchange you can do between Point of Sale and QuickBooks Desktop that will export your information from POS to Desktop:

However, in order for the financial exchange to work properly, we recommend that Desktop be installed on the same computer as your Point of Sale. We do not recommend a financial exchange to a different system through a network.
