Buy nowI am treasurer for a non-profit, using QuickBooks: Premier Nonprofit Edition 2019 (windows desktop). We have about 12 years of donations, donors, etc. in our database, and I have about 4 years experience using the non-profit desktop version of Quickbooks. To improve data security, we purchased QuickBooks Online Plus. I imported our data, but I cannot figure out if it is even possible to enter donations with the same information as possible with our desktop edition.
Before making this purchase I chatted online with a representative from Intuit and was told that Quickbooks Online Plus would be the best match for us.
I'd like to know whether it was wrong to transition to this online version.

What does "improve data security" mean? Imho, actually QB Online is riskier than QB Desktop in this matter. If you are eligible, you can purchase the one time license for QB Desktop 2021 from TechSoup with a special rate to upgrade your version. Otherwise, you can purchase it with a higher price from some partners.
