I am trying to get my computers on a network so the information that I input into my computer ends up on my office managers computer and visa versa. However whenever I set up my computers on the network and have them connected and I input information on my QuickBooks it doesn't transfer between the two computers. So if I input information on computer 1, and open the QuickBooks on computer 2 it doesn't update on computer 2. I am not trying to use the two computers at the same time. I am just trying to make sure the information is the same on the two computers.
Which computer did you install both the QB program and the Database Manager Hosting Service? One of the computers is supposed to be Hosting the one, shared, file. This computer runs the Hosting Service at startup, so that either computer can be using QB without the other computer also needing to have QB open and running.
