Join nowHow can I use my Accountant's Desktop version when accessing a client's file through a remote desktop?
Rick Harris
Greetings, @Rick Harris.
I'm here to share some information so you'd be able to access your clients' QuickBooks company files remotely.
First, you'd want to make sure that your clients have set up a cloud hosting service for you to be able to access their company file remotely. Once set up, they can provide you with a user account company file. Here's how they can grant you access:
You can read through this article to learn more about the process: Hosting your company data in multi-user mode in QuickBooks Desktop.

You are unable to connect your client's QBW file directly on your QBD Accountant application. They have to create the accountant's file and send it to you. Another option, they may deploy a private cloud (e.g for a limited time) to let you access their file by internet connection any time you need to.
