Can Accounts Payable be added to the Dashboard?

Hello, surreylittlethea.

Good to have you back. I'll throw in the steps on how to star this conversation. I'll also add a little bit of helpful information about the Expense box on the Dashboard.

To star or bookmark this conversation, you can use your browser's bookmark tool. Each browser has a different way of doing this:

  • Safari: Click the Bookmarks button on the toolbar.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Press CTRL + D on the webpage
  • Google Chrome: Click the Star button beside the URL/Link box.

Just to add something to the mix, the Expense box on the Dashboard includes the Accounts Payable (or bills if you will) and regular check or expense transactions. If you simply want to view all of your open bills, then you can run a report instead.

Simply go to the Reports menu, then open or search for the following reports:

  • Unpaid Bills
  • Accounts payable aging detail
  • Bills and Applied Payments
  • Accounts payable aging summary

If you need to build or customize these reports, you can open this tutorial for a guide: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

We also have other tutorials you can read or follow. They can teach you how to record other transactions, manage your accounts and such. Check them out in this page: QuickBooks Online articles and tutorials list

I'd be glad to help you out again, so don't forget to visit this thread if you have more questions. I'll show you a thing or two about QuickBooks Online.

Can Accounts Payable be added to the Dashboard?

Hi there, @surreylittlethea.

Dashboard only displays an overview of your company. It gives you the business update like the status of your income and expenses and your bank accounts.

For now, the option to add Accounts Payable on the Dashboard is unavailable since the Dashboard isn't customizable. I can see how this feature would be beneficial to you and other businesses. Thus, I encourage you to star our blog to keep up with any product updates or improvements on the online version:  QuickBooks Online Blog.

To know more about the QuickBooks Online Dashboard, see this article: Get started and adjust settings after you sign up for QuickBooks Online.

If you have any other concerns or questions, just let me know and I'll be happy to help. Have a great day!
