Can not print a custom statement from Preview.

I have created custom invoices and statements.  I can edit and preview both.  From the Invoice Preview screen, I can select print and receive a copy.  The preview box disappears.  However, when I preview the Statement and click print, the preview box disappears, but nothing prints.  There is nothing in the print queue.

Can not print a custom statement from Preview.

Hello b3bt459,

There are different factors that can trigger the preview and printing issues in QuickBooks Desktop. Examples are the following:

  • outdated version of your PDF viewer
  • outdated QuickBooks release version
  • damaged data or program components

Before we do any troubleshooting steps, I'd recommend updating your PDF viewer and the QuickBooks Desktop release version

After those updates, we can start our troubleshooting steps with QuickBooks Tool Hub. It'll allow us to download and run a tool specific for this type of issue.

  1. Open the QuickBooks Tools Hub and select Program Problems.
  2. Run the QuickBooks PDF & Print Repair Tool.
  3. After running the tool, close and reopen QuickBooks.

From there, you can attempt to print the statements again. You can checkout this link if you need more troubleshooting steps to fix the issue: Troubleshoot PDF and Print problems with QuickBooks Desktop.

That'll keep you going with your QuickBooks activities. Have a great day!

This did not solve the problem.  Please understand that I am attempting to print an edited template, after modification. I need to be able to confirm the changes I made to don't adversely affect the layout.     I am NOT printing a statement.

Can not print a custom statement from Preview.

I've read your first post, @b3bt459.

It seems that the issue you're experiencing relates to QuickBooks data. Let's run the Verify and Rebuild Utility tools to get this fixed. It's a good start when it comes to fixing data-related issues.

To run the Verify Data utility:

  1. Click the File menu.
  2. Select Utilities
  3. Click Verify Data
  4. If there are issues found, you’ll be prompted to Rebuild Now.

Here’s how to run the Rebuild utility:

  1. Click the File menu.
  2. Select Utilities
  3. Choose Rebuild Data
  4. Click Ok on Rebuild has completed.

After verifying and rebuilding the data, go back and try to attempt printing the edited template again to double-check.
