Join nowI went to create a new company file, and now i cannot open my original company file and get the code: -6087,0.
I have tried manually opening it, by clicking the actual file where it is located...no luck.
I do not know why creating another company file would break my original file.
Hey there, cr3ighton.
I'd be delighted to assist you with opening the original file in QuickBooks Desktop.
I have a few questions that I need to ask to ensure you'll be able to open the company file. Did you try opening the original file to a higher version of QuickBooks? Were you still able to access the new company file without any errors?
If the problem is only company file related, you can try following the solutions in the article I'm adding below (start with Solution 1):
Resolve Problems Opening QuickBooks Desktop or your Company File.
Any additional information or screenshots you want to add will ensure a timely solution. If you need further assistance, please be sure to let me know.
Hi,
So i brought the company file to the server and it opened just fine. I am thinking something changed with the quickbooks on my workstation when i tried to create a new company file.
Well i randomly tried running as administrator and the error did not come up.
cheers
