Cant Create Company File

I've got some solutions we can perform to access your new company, JonLMHCPA.

QuickBooks error -6000, -82 occurs when there are any damaged or corrupted files in your software. It shows that the QuickBooks file cannot be located on another computer in the network. This may also happen if the data source name is damaged or the software installed is encrypted.

Before performing any troubleshooting steps, let's make sure QuickBooks is updated to the latest release and we run the QuickBooks File Doctor to fix company and network issues. Once done, remove the spaces after the company name and before the company file extension. Let me show you how:

  1. Log out of QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Open to the folder where the company file is stored.
  3. Right-click on the company file and select Rename.
  4. Choose the name of the file, then check and remove any spaces between the file extension and the name of the company.
  5. Try to open or create a company file.

If the same thing happens. please proceed to Step 2 until Step 5 in Error -6000, -82 or -6000, -106 when opening or accessing the company file article to troubleshoot the problem.
