Client Access for Team Members

I have granted full access to team members. However, when trying to choose ALL clients to allow access to, it gives an error when trying to save. Seems like I have to click each client individually instead of being able to choose all. Is there a better route or solution?

Client Access for Team Members

Thanks for joining the Community, dky91.

When changing your team's access to client's books, you're able to select however many clients a given team member needs access to. There isn't a limitation on how many can be selected. If you don't mind me asking, what error message is displayed when clicking Save?

As a workaround, you can try granting client access by editing your clients instead of team members. This can be done by clicking a client's name from the Client page, choosing Edit Client, then hitting Team Access.

Since QuickBooks Accountant Online is accessed through a browser, it's possible temporary internet files could be causing your problem. Browsing applications store this data, but it can sometimes cause issues on certain web pages. You can open a private window and try repeating the same process to see if it works.

Here's how to access incognito mode in some of the most commonly used browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Internet Explorer: Ctrl Shift P
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

If you're able to give your team members full admin access to manage all of the appropriate client's QuickBooks accounting data without selecting them individually, it's safe to say your browser is causing the issue. You can fix it by clearing cached data and Intuit-specific cookies.

In the event you continue receiving an error message when pressing Save, you'll want to contact our Customer Care Team. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research, and create an investigation ticket if necessary. You can get in touch with them while signed in.

Here's how:
1. Click the Help (?) icon.
2. Choose Contact Us.

3. Enter a description of your situation in the What can we help you with? field, then hit Let's talk.
4. You'll be presented with a few options for connecting with Intuit. Select Start messaging or Get a call.

Definitely review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.

I'll be here to help if there's any questions/additional information. Have a great day!
