Join nowMy computer crashed. I reinstalled my Quickbooks and I also did the upgrade I have Quickbooks Pro 2016 Small Business installed. I did an upgrade to Quickbooks Pro 2019. I have tried to open my account with my back up which is on my computer. I have shut off my Kaspersky virus protection while I try to open Quickbooks. I have went into utilities on my Quickbooks and I have it allowing Hosting. Still when I try to open the backup I still get the errors:
Hosting Mode is OFF & QBDBMgrN not running on the computer. I have run File Doctor a few times.
I have restarted, re-installed etc and Still I can't get my company open. Thanks for the help!

Hard drive crashed and upgraded to a newer version of 2020 Desktop of Quickbooks. Cannot get new recovered file to upload into new version of Quickbooks. Don't know how to proceed. Please help.

May I know how old is the company file you're going to upload to a newer version of QuickBooks? Please know that you can only upgrade the file to a version that is three (3) years higher. For example, you can restore a 2015 back up to a 2018 version. You cannot skip this process and jump directly to the newest versions, it has to be done in a hierarchy.

Which QB Desktop year version did use earlier? Did you encounter any error message when restoring it?
