Re: Contact Phone number

This new system is very frustrating and unfriendly.  As a pro-adivser who pays a monthly fee I would expect a better customer service access system.

Hello there, @CompassAccountingLLP.

I appreciate you for giving us the feedback with regards to your experience. Part of my job is to make sure we're able to assist our customers properly in a manner your experience is marked as outstanding.

May I ask what specific access are you referring to? This is for me to better look into it.

On the other hand, for account related inquiry, I’d recommend reaching out to our Customer Care team. They’d be able to open your account in a secured environment and provide you with the information you need.

Re: Contact Phone number

Well, I'm a little late to the party but my response is this...  you can click on Get Phone Number as many times as you want but it goes absolutely nowhere!!!

Extremely irritating when I'm trying to get my EOY files to the accountant, encounter a show stopping issue and can get Zero customer support from the software manufacturer!!

Don't get me wrong, I think QB Online is a decent product for the money but sometimes you still need some support.  Very, very discouraging....

Thanks for letting me vent...

Still have no idea what I'm going to do.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi there, @DonAPlusMedMgmt.

Thank you for joining this thread and providing some feedback. Allow me to step in and offer some help.

I want you to know that your voice matters and I can understand your desire to speak with our phone support right away. At this time of the year, we typically have a high call volume and longer than normal wait time. Many of our customers call in for assistance with year-end payroll.

To give the most accurate information, could you please let me know if you're getting a specific error message when accessing the EOY files? Additional details about what you wish to do will also help.

Meanwhile, we can try performing a few troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue. Let's begin by using a private browser or incognito:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

Now, try accessing your EOY files again. If this works, switch back to the regular browser and clear its cache and temporary Internet files to start fresh. Otherwise, try switching to a different browser to eliminate browser related issue.

Let me know what's the result after following the steps above. I look forward to your response and further helping. You can mention my name or click the "Reply" button.

Hi there, sbrady.

Thanks for following up on this thread. I can show you where to find the contact info for QuickBooks Online.

The number to reach a member of the Support Team is 1-800-488-7330. The most up-to-date contact information is located here: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact.

I'll be here if you have any other questions. Take care.

Re: Contact Phone number

This phone number only takes you to a representative who can help you log-in to the Help page in Quickbooks Online. It seems they've chosen to take away the option to call a representative, which is really too bad.  I'm out of the country right now, and so it's not an option to have a representative call me back at my number.  For such a robust platform, you would think QuickBooks would have better customer service.

Re: Contact Phone number

This new and "improved" customer services sucks worse than any customer service I have ever had to use. The recent "improvements" to QB online are enough to make me ditch the company and I have been an Intuit user for well over a decade. When QB online has problems, and it regularly does, not being able SPEAK TO A HUMAN is incredibly frustrating. It has taken HOURS to resolve an issue that should have taken 20min with a phone call because I am having to use chat and the overeager chat agents close cases before they are resolved. Worse customer service ever that wastes tons of time. This is the straw that is breaking the camels back.
I started a chat yesterday at 12:16 and it ended at 14:56 with the agent saying they would email me info. First, it took FOREVER to get the agent to understand what I needed. The directions the agent gave me did not work and it took time to get the master admin user to log in and try  the directions (they didn't work for her either btw). When I didn't respond to the agent's email within 12hrs, the agent sent a happy little emails saying she assumed everything worked and closed the case. I had to call a client, who is a doctor over 300miles away with back to back patients, and get them to log into their account. That takes more than 12 hrs.
Now, I am back on chat with another agent with a new case going through the same problem again. We started chatting at 19:46 and it is now 20:36. I think I have FINALLY gotten this agent to understand there is a backend problem not a user problem. This is frustrating and the worst. I am in and out of my office a lot and am a user on 10 different client QB accounts. I can't ask for a call and then wait around until I get a call back. And chatting is a soul-sucking miserable experience trying to get agents to understand what I need. At least if there was an option to share screen shots things might get done faster or at least I might be understood better.

Re: Contact Phone number

Update: The second chat ended at 21:03 with the agent telling me it was a back end issue, she couldn't fix it, and to contact them again in a few hours. Before I could write a reply, the agent ended the chat conversations. *Insert slow clap to stellar customer service*

Re: Contact Phone number

It's great to see you here, @Anonymous,

Welcome and thanks for joining our forum. I can share some insights about restoring a company file in QuickBooks Desktop.

The error typically comes up when you restore a backup or company file to a different QuickBooks version.  To get past this, please ensure the new QuickBooks matches with the version of the old company. For example, if you created a backup copy from QuickBooks Premier, you can restore it on the same edition or a higher version of the product.

To know more about the compatibility when upgrading or restoring in QuickBooks Desktop, you can check out this article: Company File Compatibility with QuickBooks Desktop.

That should give you the information you need, @Anonymous. Please update me on the outcome. I'm a quick post away. Wishing you all the best!

Re: Contact Phone number

How to update quickbooks, I`m having errors pop up

Content Leader

Re: Contact Phone number

Greetings, @40.

Consider me a detective on the case of those pop-up errors. This thread has been primarily discussing matters within QuickBooks Online, which doesn't need to be updated on the user's end. Most errors in the program can usually be resolved by clearing your browser's cache.

Web-based platforms like QBO collect these files (cookies) to save you time when loading repetitive data and images. These files can often become outdated or corrupted, causing errors like the one you've mentioned. Clearing them out usually resolves such errors, and the links below will help you accomplish that in all supported browsers:

Clearing Temporary Cache Files

Doing this will force QBO to load a fresh copy of everything on the screen. Please know I'm always available should you ever need a helping hand with QuickBooks. Thanks for coming to the Community and have a wonderful rest of your day.

Re: Contact Phone number

I need help with Payroll. No taxes are being taken out of one of my employees pay check.

QuickBooks Team

Re: Contact Phone number

I can help you with payroll, @Minddbender1.

Tax calculations in QuickBooks Online are dependent on your employee's payroll setup. These are the affecting factors: Filing status, number of allowances, pay frequency, gross wage, and an additional amount to be withheld.

It could be that the Tax exemptions functionality has been modified and that is why that employee doesn't have taxes. Here's how to verify if this is the case:

  1. On the left navigation, go to the Workers menu and choose Employee.
  2. Click the Pay Edit icon.
  3. Click the Pencil icon on the number 2 What are *Employee name's* withholdings?.
  4. Go to the Tax exemptions section and make sure to verify the setup.
    1.PNG
  5. Click Done to save the changes.

For your reference, you can check the Set up or edit an employee in Online Payroll article.

If you've updated the employee data, you'll have to delete and recreate the paycheck to refresh the calculations.

That should get you moving today, @Minddbender1. Let me know the outcome by commenting below. I'm still here to help you more with payroll if you have follow-up questions.
