Currency change in Simple Start 2012

have simple start edition 2012 version used by our very small company and don't wish to move to the on-line version just yet as thus serves our purpose at the moment....How do I change the currency to South African Rands (R)? it used to display the R symbol previously, but now all of a sudden it is displaying the $ symbol.

If you are not interested to reinstall it on Win 7, you may have 2 options:

1. Switch to QBD 2021. You may purchase a one time license of QBD 2021 Pro for 1 user worth $399 or Premier for 1 user worth $499.

2. Migrate to QBO SA version.

I am not surprised if the root cause is on Flash. Older apps need it to run some functions yet Win 8.1 and 10 are ended their support since last month. You may try reinstall your QB on Hyper-V Win 10 to run on Win 7. Is your company located in South Africa?

I had a problem with the input of my keyboard recently whereby evertime i selected @ sign, something else would be inputted....eventually selected US language (keyboard was US already) and that seemed to have solved that problem....now I've just has a lightbulb moment and am thinking could it be related to that?

I've checked my regional setting and have selected SA language as well, but the problem persists.

I'm really not keen on a cloud solution at this moment and would hate it if that was my last resort...and I'd be annoyed if it has to do with anything that Quickbooks have changed thereby forcing you to their cloud application.
