Join nowThe payments reminder window is not working right. It is not giving me the option to move to the customer window. It is like the scroll some how vanished or it is really zoomed in. Can someone tell me if they know how to fix this? It was working fine a couple months ago. I am unable to go past this section
Hi, MAINADMIN.
I'm here to help. Sounds like what you're experiencing is a screen issue within QuickBooks Desktop. If you have a newer high-resolution monitor, you may need to change your default settings in QuickBooks. We have a guide to help, fix screen issues in QuickBooks Desktop. Payment Reminder or are you creating a Mailing List, which is the box you showed.
For Reminders, go to the Company drop-down and then Reminders. (To-Do list is there also.)
Hello, doddbk.
I feel you, and I also get frustrated if a certain feature in a software suddenly stops working.
Have you tried following the steps in the link posted by MaulikH? If not you might want to try them out to fix the issue. Otherwise, I have other solutions we can try to fix the Payment Reminder window.
Let's make sure your QuickBooks Desktop is updated to the latest release. Release updates can fix issues within the program.
Once done, try opening the Payment Reminder window again, then move to the customer window.
If it still doesn't work, then we can run the repair tool to fix damaged components in the program. Before doing this, make sure to back up your company file. After that, restart your computer to ensure there are no programs affecting the repair.
To run the repair tool:
Restart your computer again to complete the repair process. Open QuickBooks again then go to the Scheduled Payment Reminder window. After that, move to the customer window again.
After fixing the issue, you can check out these articles if you need help managing your customers in QuickBooks Desktop: Sales and customers.
We're here to ensure all of your features in QuickBooks Desktop are working fine. If you have other concerns, please let me know by leaving a reply.
I've tried the suggested fixes, tried updates, tried different display settings - nothing.
Tried to repair the install and got errors so I had to stop it. That made me concerned that files would be corrupted so I uninstalled and re-installed Quickbooks. Still - nothing.
I don't have any more time to devote to this. The laptop I'm using is being retired soon so I'll wait and see what happens on a new machine.

So I'm setting up the new computer and wanted to test this prior to making any changes to default settings.
Same issue, please see the attached image. It is only windows associated with payment reminders that I have a problem with. With every other window in Quickbooks I can resize, scroll etc as always.
Thanks for any help you can provide!
Mary
I'm here to help you in fixing this issue, Mary.
It could be that some components or modules of the program are damage that's why the Schedule payment reminder is unresponsive. To isolate the issue, let's make sure that you're using the latest release of QuickBooks Desktop. This way, we'll be able to have the latest patches and fixes implemented by our software engineers.
If the same thing happens, we can run the repair tool to fix the damages in the program. Before diving in, let's make sure to back up your company file so that we'll be able to restore your data if ever we run into problems.
Then, we'll have to restart your computer to ensure there are no programs affecting the repair. Once done, let's start running the repair tool:
QuickBooks Desktop 2020, you can customize and automate the payment reminders to let your customers know when they have invoices they still need to pay you for.
Should you have any other concerns or further questions about payment reminders, you can always find me here. Stay safe and healthy.
I am running a fresh install that has been updated of Quickbooks Accountant 2020 Release R6P on a new computer so I don't see how it could be a damaged program.
Quickbooks was the first program installed on the new computer, and I tested this feature prior to making any changes to any default settings.
I don't believe it to be an issue specific to a Quickbooks data file; as I maintain several different company files and ALL of them have this issue.
I also created a new company file to test the issue and it still exists.
This issue is also ONLY on windows related to payment reminders. All other windows resize and scroll correctly.
Are there any other suggestions that might work?
Thanks
Mary
