Join nowI am using QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2021 and have been for about a week. Last week was the last time I used the file. Today, I suddenly found that my QuickBooks file was not connected to an attachment library. When I select my file, "Attachment Library.qbattach", I get an error message indicating, "This is not a valid Attached Documents Library." I did not have this problem last week. Any idea what is causing this or how to fix it?
Let's find out why you're getting the error when trying to attach a file in QuickBooks for Mac, MercedesOne.
You'll want to verify if QuickBooks files were connected to the Attachment Library. To do this, you can follow the steps below. You can use file names, dates, or keywords for a better search result.
If you want to make any changes in your attachment, you can save a copy of the attachment and make the changes, then re-attach it to the transaction or record it in QuickBooks. Here's how:
Once done, double-check if you're still seeing the error message. If so I recommend getting in touch with our support team to investigate this further. They have the tools to pull up your account securely.

The issue was not configuring the attachment library. I had been using the attachment library for quite some time in an older version and again with the new version (QuickBooks for Mac 2021). The issue is that I suddenly got an error message when I do.
My Solution:
1) Create another attachment library.
2) Copy the contents from the old attachment library to the new attachment library.
Suddenly all of my attachment were back. I, then deleted the old attachment library and renamed the new attachment library so I didn't have some funky file name. I am back to normal.
how did you delete the old attachment library?
Thanks for reaching out to us, Fusion08.
