Join nowOur CPA is doing the accounting using Quickbooks Desktop at her office. We are taking the books in-house on Quickbooks Online. Can the CPA export the file from her location to the cloud and I pull the file in from my location?
Hello @E40Katie,
As of the moment, there isn't an integrated way of exporting your data in the cloud for two different versions of QuickBooks. A company data from a desktop version can only be exported to the cloud and work with it on a desktop app.
Instead of utilizing the export function, you can invite your accountant from QuickBooks to do the accounting of your books. If you wish to proceed, here's an article you can read for the detailed instruction: Invite an accountant to review your accounting in QuickBooks Online.
Additionally, I've also included this reference for a compilation of articles you can use while working with us: Know where you stand financially.
If you have any other questions, please let me know by leaving any comments below. Stay safe!
Ask your accountant to utilize an exporter tool for Desktop and you may utilize an importer tool for Online.

Just to clarify, why didn't your accountant using QBO Accountant to access your QBO account?
